While many of our funguses colonize the coffee grounds very few of them grow a full muhroom body.Agricus sp. (Portobellos) however, not just grow to fruition but in our early reasearch they colinized and fruted faster than our control grown with conventional methods. Creatinng new species of mushrooms that thrive on our grounds is what we are actively working on. This is done through cloning, genetic banking and PCR extractions.
Here at spore we are true coffee fanatics. Our mushrooms are grown off of coffee grounds using our soon to pattented Caffiene Fanaticus Techique (CF-Tech). Our plan is to eventually expand to growing coffee as well as mushrooms so we can be fully sustainable and eventually use coffee grounds as fertilizer as well as mushroom feed.
With the "shroom boom" happening in the west our company would like to be at the forefront of this movement teaching, researching, and intigrating mushrooms into peoples daily diet. This is all in hopes of evntually doing clinical research so that our fungal friends can be reaped for their many medicinal benefits.
Our goal is to create mushroom species that thrive off of coffee grounds. In doing so we will create a circular business model in which our coffee eventully goes back to our mushrooms to make the next cup of our Mocha Mushrooms coffee.

The science behind our company comes down to the spores. Every crop that we have is tagged via spore print and saved. This is very useful for creating strong vigorous cell lines. We hope to have the facilites to tap any one of these cell lines for research as mushrooms have serious documented clinical alplications.
